The Rasmus
The Rasmus exploded onto the music scene in 1996 with
the release of their debut album, Peep. They have since made 5 other
albums: Playboys, Hell of A Tester, Hell
of A Collection, Into, and the most recent release, Dead
Letters.
Lauri Ylonen
Lauri Ylonen, lead singer of The Rasmus, was born on April 23, 1979. He is currently
25 years old. His hair is naturally brown, but he has sported blonde, black, and even pink hair. His hair isn't terribly long,
but it is just above his neck. A few years ago he added the crows feathers to his hair. He is nicknamed "Lintu", which is Finnisch for "Bird". He also has nicknames
like "Babyface" or "Pauri" (Lauri
and Pauli put together). He smokes and drinks alot! During the recording of the album "Dead
Letters", he did this even more to make his voice rougher, and darker sounding.
Eero Aleksi Heinonen
Eero Heinonen, Bassist for The Rasmus, was born on
November 27, 1979. He is 24 years old but will soon turn 25. He has had some
interesting hairstyles over the years, but is currently sporting semi-long brown hair. He has had oddly cornrowed hair, short
and spikyhair, and just soft short hair. He gave up drinking a few years ago and has been clean ever since. He does
Yoga and Meditates
often. He is the quiet "calm" of
the group. He holds it all together. He is very spiritual.
Aki Markus Hakala
Aki Hakala, the Drummer
for The Rasmus, was born on October 28, 1979.
He is also 24, soon to be 25. He has had long hair, with dreadlocks, and short hair, with a mohawk. He replaced the old drummer,
Janne, after they changed agencies after the flop of "Hell
Of A Tester."
Pauli Antero Rantasalmi
Pauli Rantasalmi, Guitarist for The Rasmus, was born May 1, 1979. He is 25 years
old as of now. He, like the others, has had some odd hair styles. He has had very messy "fro-like"
hair, and short "smaller fro-like" hair. Now he has just short hair. He wears
glasses along with Aki.
